The annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair was back in December and was truly enjoyed.
The prizes for Postcards Wall Raffle this year were signed cards and book featuring art by British artist Maggi Hambling
The Postcard Wall has this year featured many beautiful and original cards. They were kindly donated by students and tutors of the school. Traditionally every purchase qualifies for the raffle with prize donated by established artist – signed cards and a book. This year it was the British artist Maggi Hambling. Maggi was born in Sudbury, Suffolk and has studied at Slade School of Fine Art, Camberwell School of Art and Ipswich School of Art. Her work is widely exhibited and had earned her many prominent awards, such as Jerwood Painting Prize (with Patrick Caulfield) in 1995 and Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture in 2005.
The Postcard Wall has been organised and managed by Friends very own Mark Hayman, who was helped by Linda Hayman, Jane Allen and Charlie Roe – big thanks to them all !
