The Friends of Putney School of Art & Design is a registered charity with the Charity Commission, charity number 1131144.  It’s charitable objects, that is the purpose for which is it a charity, are:

To advance the education of the public in the London borough of Wandsworth in the visual arts by supporting, promoting and enhancing Putney School of Art and Design as a centre for adult and community learning.

To support and encourage the growth of the school in its offer of education and high quality learning in the visual arts.

The Friends charity is overseen by a group of Trustees who meet at least twice a term to discuss administrative and other charity trustee matters.

The Management Committee of the Friends meets twice a term and is comprised of the Trustees and other volunteer Committee members.  These meetings are attended by the Head of School who presents an informal report.  Formal agendas and minutes of meetings are produced.  Minutes, key papers, and memorabilia have been deposited recently at Wandsworth Heritage Service.

The Friends AGM is held in November each year, open to all members. The independently audited accounts are presented, and elections of the Honorary President, Honorary Vice President, Trustees, and Committee Members take place.
