The Friends of Putney School of Art and Design are in need of a new Treasurer.
You would become a Trustee of a friendly, committed group who raise money for the school for the provision of bursaries and equipment.
You will need access to Excel and have some basic Excel skills – plus basic IT skills for the Zettle (payment machine) apps. It is not that complicated, but you need to be systematic. The busy times are when memberships subs are being taken and during and after the main Friend’s events, ie. The Christmas Fair and Putney Art. Once you get going it would take about an hour or less a week and in busy times perhaps an hour a day. It is much easier now with less cash being taken and fewer cheques.
In short – You will need to manage the bank account, pay bills and make sure we have proper documentation for each transaction.
You will need to maintain a spreadsheet of expenses and will need to give a brief rundown to the Trustees once a term. The accounts have to be prepared for audit once a year, and our current Treasurer has offered to help with this. We are a registered charity.
