Review of the exhibition by Sniez Torbarina, PSAD Friends committee and Trustee.
The Griffin Catalyst Exhibition Seurat and the Sea – the seascapes of the French artist Georges Seurat (1859–1891)
This exhibition is one for my heart. I was born at the small coastal town at Adriatic Sea, so the Seurat’s pointillistic brushwork, the places, colours, light, is most familiar scenery. This small exhibition of 26 romantic coastal views is calm, poetic, inspiring, an antidote to the present worlds noise. We got the last slot and were told it will close one minute before the closure, this did not prevent the gallery attendant to kindly chat to us, which went along the nostalgic sentiments.
