Putney School of Art is in partnership along with Sprout Arts with the We Art Wandsworth project – Uniting Artists, Inspiring Communities, a community programme of art events, workshops and lectures taking place in the borough through to spring 2026.
A borough-wide celebration of visual arts, this is a wonderful opportunity to create, connect and celebrate our diverse borough through art. Developed as a flagship project for Wandsworth’s year as London Borough of Culture 2025, We Art Wandsworth places visual arts centre stage.
The theme for the show is We heArt Wandsworth, an exhibition celebrating the people, places, stories and spirit of the borough.
The theme is intentionally broad and open to interpretation. The artworks explore local places and neighbourhoods, everyday moments – the scenes, routines and the small details that make Wandsworth feel like home, community and culture – people, traditions, diversity and their stories, nature and environment – parks, commons, riverside views or other landscapes that define the borough, personal experiences – what Wandsworth means to the artists and why they live here.
