How to support the Friends and the School

The Friends of PSAD is the School’s own Charity.  All funds raised go directly to support the activities of the School, present and future.

The School operates out of students fee income alone and receives no regular external funding.  Keeping fees affordable is fundamental to maintaining a thriving School community.  The Friends aims to help the School grow and prosper by providing further funding .

On behalf of current and future members of the School community – and all whose lives will be enriched by your generosity – many thanks for considering a gift. There are a few different ways you can give.

Join the Friends

Enjoy all the benefits membership of the Friends brings, from lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and social events.

Your subscription is a donation that helps the School. Your subs are the seed corn finance for the Friends to put on fundraising events, lectures, workshops and parties.  Your membership subscriptions can be treated as donations and attract gift aid if you are a UK taxpayer.

Donations are always welcome and have the added benefit of allowing the Friends to claim an extra 25% of gift aid on top of your donation at no extra cost to you (if a UK tax payer).

Ways to donate:

  • You may deposit a cheque or cash into the slot in the white, padlocked Friends box in the School reception area, or leave it with reception
  • Cheques can be posted to the School marked for the Friends

If you are organising a fund-raising event, commemorating a family occasion or (sadly) the passing of a loved one who had enjoyed their time at the School you can organise a collection through Just Giving.

Putney School of Art & Design welcomes gifts to start endowment funds, including the creation of new named funds. Endowment gifts are a way to create a lasting legacy of support for PSAD. Please contact the Treasurer if you are interested in pursuing this.

Bequests in your will could be a way to ensure the School continues to enrich lives in the future. Consider including the School in your will. By leaving something to the Friends you ensure that all proceeds will go directly to enhancing the School we all value.

Gifts of items such as art books, art materials and picture frames are always welcome. They can either be used in the School or sold to raise money for the Friends. Contact the Treasurer.
